Some site updates
  • A statistics table was added on the right for the ongoing league.
  • A "Next Games" box is shown on the right, displaying the next 3 games (usually the practise + 2 league games).
  • A new menu item "Links" was added where some links to the official tournament pages of Tampereen Palloliitto are available.
  • Under the "Latest results" menu item a link to the official page of the Futsal League B has been inserted.

Remember that you can use the news syndication on the FLFC site and keep yourself up to date by adding our RSS Feed as a "Live bookmark" in your prefered browser. Use the RSS Feed on the lower right corner "News for your site".

Hi everybody,

Hopefully you've had a great holiday and you're now ready for a new futsal season. I am starting with this email a monthly FLFC info letter, so we can better focus on our activities and keep people informed on what is going on. I will publish these info letters also on the foreign-legion.com website.

Subjects in this letter:
1. Futsal trainings in Nekala Normalikoulu 
2. Football: Kultajalka-cup 1.10.2011 
3. Ikaalinen tournament 5-6.11.2011? 
4. FLFC 10-years event, summer 2012

1. Futsal seaoson 2011-2012 and trainings in Nekala Normalikoulu
We'll be playing again the B series this year (not confirmed yet, slightly possible also A-series, if some teams have dropped out).
Vik has managed to book for us a bigger place for futsal training (cheers Vik). And in addition, it is free. The time is every Thursday from 19:00-20:45 starting with 8.09.2011, in Nekala Normaalikoulu (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=fi&geocode=&q=Kuokkamaantie+16+tampere)
We'd like to know how many of us are willing to participate, so please reply whether you will be attending regularly or not. So far have confirmed Vik, Flo, Bogdan N. and Vlad (when available).

Also, if you are not going to play with FLFC during the winter futsal season, please let me know asap!

2. Football: Kultajalka-cup 1.10.2011
The traditional Kultajalka football tournament will be held this year on 1.10 in Ikuri. Last year FLFC finished 3rd after wining the tournament for the third time two years ago. The participation fee will be around 5 EUR / player. I will send a separate email including other football players who were traditionally participating in the tournament with FLFC.

3. Ikaalinen tournament 5-6.11.2011?

For this event I will also send another email, as we'll invite some other FLFC guest players (Vrajen, Henri, etc.)

4. FLFC 10-years event, summer 2012
As you might have noticed I have sent an email earlier this month related to the intention of organizing an FLFC 10 years event. Only about half of the people have replied and even less have subscribed to the mailing list, so please do subscribe as I need to get the people together before starting any messaging related to organizing the event. If you have not received the email, let me know, I will send it to you again.

I hope to get an answer form each of you by the end of the month, so that we know where we stand with the team this year.
